I moved to New York at last fall from Portland, Oregon. I was born and raised in the NYC area, but I've been gone for 15 years. So, it's nutty. Sometimes I feel like I've totally adjusted, and other times I wonder if this town will ever feel normal. But it's exciting to be back in New York, albeit overwhelming at times.
I love to take black and white photographs and print them myself in a proper darkroom. For work, I produce commercials, which I enjoy most of the time. It affords me lots of travel opportunites and exposure to some amazing, creative people. I'm a cat person, and terribly allergic. I'm coquettish and I've been told I have a nice smile. I love going through boxes of old photographs at estate sales.
And travel, although I don't do it nearly as much as I'd like.
My Ideal Person:
More than anything it's a co-conspirator. I'm looking for a companion to explore the city with. Get into trouble together. I'm striving for a sense of community here, because it's something that I miss about Portland.
I respond well to a sense of humor. Please be funny. I'm starting to feel like I could really use a good road trip with someone great. Hit junk stores in some random town. I love that kind of stuff. Or a nice long train ride for the hell of it.
It'd be nice to cook with someone, or for someone. Someone to make mix tapes for.
The last great book I read I loved "Wake Up, Sir, " by Jonathan Ames
My most humbling moment This can't possibly be the most humbling, but a recent episode that comes to mind is when I got a pair of Heelies at the mall and told them that I'd just wear them out... It was like Bambi on the ice.
The celebrity I resemble the most I used to get Martha Quinn a lot, but I don't think anyone knows who she is anymore...
If I could be anywhere right now NYC is pretty much it, but I never pass up a chance to go to Mexico.
